Meet John Campbell

  John Campbell holds a Bachelor's of Science degree from McMaster University (Hamilton) and a Master's of Science degree from Universite Laval (Quebec) in Food Immunology. His research experience has included the pharmaceutical industry (Allelix Biopharmaceuticals, Toronto), Food Immunology (Nestle Research Centre, Switzerland), and Genetic Engineering and Gene Therapy (Ontario Cancer Institute, Toronto) . Since 2003, he has been involved with administrative roles focusing on research related safety, at University Health Network (Toronto), and since 2005, at the Ottawa Hospital Research Insitute (Ottawa, formerly the Ottawa Health Research Institute). John is currently the dedicated Research Safety Manager at the Ottawa Health Research Institute (Ottawa) where he single-handedly manages the Lab Safety, Chemical Safety and Biosafety programmes. He is the OHRI's Institutional Biosafety Manager and is the Manager of the CL-3 Lab. John has been a member of ABSA since 2004 and ABSA Canada since 2005.
